27 years professional ski coaching experience 4 x Olympic Games; Lillehammer ’94, Nagano ’98, Torino ’06 and Vancouver 2010 7 x FIS World Ski Championships 17 years and 3 National Olympic Teams; British, Australia and New Zealand National Team coach 10 years New Zealand national ski team, 7 years Australian national ski team, 1 year British national team 2 years Alpine Director, New Zealand Ski Association 4 years Alpine Sports Committee member, Snow Sports New Zealand I have worked as a coach and serviceman for my sister Annelise Coberger, World Cup winner and Olympic Silver medalist. She was the first person from the southern hemisphere to win a winter Olympic medal, ever! I was also head coach for Olympic Bronze medalist and World Slalom Champion Zali Steggall from 1993 until 1997 with the Australian National Team. In 1998 I moved to the British Ski Team as their Women’s Head Coach. In that time I spend 6 years on the Women’s World Cup and Europa cup circuits. After coaching at club and regional level in America for 3 years I came back to New Zealand in 2005 as Men’s, and then Head Coach, of the NZ National Ski Team. I’m was also Australian National Team coach 2012, 13′ and 14′. We ran a combined Australia/New Zealand National Team program in Europe and North America. For the last 2 years i have coached the members of the New Zealand national Men’s team. I’m active within the NZSIA organisation, coaching the examiner group and Demo team.
